Mindfulness is going to be around for a longtime in my opinion.  

It takes the religion out of an ancient meditation practice and makes 

it available for things like pain control...

This isn't a buy recommendation... the book is in the Library.


Mindfulness needs to be practiced for some months or even years 

to yield the best results but you will notice some benefits fairly quickly.  

The Mind Institute founded by Jon K-Z, Ricard, the Dalai Lama and 

others have conducted MRI studies backing the positive gains 

available to a person who practices this type of meditation so be

assured that it is not Hocus Pocus!!!

It took a few months for the library's copies to arrive.  
 It is good and includes a CD with guided meditations.
