VIDEO: The Power of Habit

This past Connect SF 2012, we were thrilled to welcome, Charles Duhigg, Staff Writer, The New York Times, Author, “The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business” to the stage.

Why do so many people achieve success and some do not? Why are some real estate agents successful and some are not? Why are some brokers flourishing and next door, the broker is closing their doors?

In this keynote address Duhigg talks about success and failure and the powerful force of habits in our life.

The Power of Habit - Charles Duhigg

According to The New York Times, “Duhigg has read hundreds of scientific papers and interviewed many of the scientists who wrote them, and relays interesting findings on habit formation and change from the fields of social psychology, clinical psychology and neuroscience.

This is not a self-help book conveying one author’s homespun remedies, but a serious look at the science of habit formation and change.”

When asked about success on his site, Duhigg says, “They achieved success by focusing on the patterns that shape every aspect of our lives. They succeeded by transforming habits.”
