JARRETT J. KROSOCZKA
Imagining Beyond Your Circumstances

Jarrett J. Krosoczka tells us how imagination and the encouragement to pursue artistic expression transformed his life.

Jarrett J. Krosoczka has been passionate about storytelling through words and pictures since he was a kid. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, he currently has authored and illustrated eighteen published books—ten picture books and eight graphic novels. His Lunch Lady series has twice won a Children's Choice Book Award and was nominated for a Will Eisner Comic Industry Award. In the summer of 2013, Jarrett will have his chapter book debut with the publication of Platypus Police Squad: The Frog Who Croaked. He can be heard on The Book Report with JJK, his new radio segment on Sirius XM's Kids Place Live.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
