The art of love
requires no tools,
no effort or labour,
not even time.
The art of love
is carving life
the gentle, honest
spirit of a child,
trust and courage.
The art of love
requires no more
than re-minding our
selves to listen to
and follow our hearts.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful
servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has
forgotten the gift."
~ Albert Einstein ~

mind to define your goals and then TRUST your unconscious mind to do
May your trail be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the
most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds."

Be free from the chains of attachment ...
“We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”

"Great spirits have always encountered violent
opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a
man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly
and courageously uses his intelligence."
~ Albert Einstein ~
"Often people attempt to live their lives
backwards. They try to have more things, or more money, in order to do
more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually
works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what
you need to do, in order to have what you want."
~ Margaret Young ~
Drop the idea of becoming someone, because you
are already a masterpiece. You cannot be improved. You have only to come
to it, to know it, to realize it."
~ Osho ~
“May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”
- Irish Blessings quotes
Changing: from Pessimism to Optimism
A = Adverse event or situation
B = Beliefs about that event
C = Consequences of those beliefs
D = Disputation and Distraction
E = Energization
As with all forms of mental discipline I have encountered, from sports psychology to these suggestions, they seem simplistic and somewhat silly when written on paper. However, I have found that such disciplines, like exercise, healthy eating, systematic investing, and others, can have powerful effects when applied consistently and intelligently over time. They are not magic. But, they do work.Briefly, the trick is to learn to identify A-adverse situations or events that your routinely face. Learn to hear (and record) the B- beliefs about those events that come to your mind (the “recordings” you play in your head). Feel the C- consequences of those beliefs (and write them down), in terms of emotions, energy, will to act, etc. Once you have gotten familiar with these components, dispute those beliefs and distract yourself. D- Disputation can involve challenging the usefulness of the belief, generating alternative specific, external, and temporary explanations, focusing on evidence that contradicts or undermines the negative belief and supports a more positive interpretation, and challenging negative implications on which harmful beliefs rely.In addtions to disputation, distraction can be employed to stop the “loop” of these tapes in your head. One suggestion is to wear a rubber band and snap it on your wrist while saying “Stop” in a loud voice. Then write the worrisome beliefs, fears, etc. down to think about at a set future time. This leaves one free to act. Finally, notice what happens to your E- energy and will to act when you dispute the negative beliefs. Over time, the disputation becomes rapid and effective as the energization from it rewards you for the effort. Eventually, the positive explanatory style becomes your “default” response.

~ Plato ~
At any moment you have the opportunity of choosing love or fear. In
moments of fear, I remember the sun. It’s always shining even though
clouds may obscure it for a while. Like the sun, the One Infinite Power
is eternally shining its light upon me, even though clouds of negative
thinking may temporarily obscure it. I choose to remember the Light. And
you can, too. Feel secure in the Light. When the fears come, choose to
see them as passing clouds in the sky, and let them go on their way.
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."
~ Lao Tzu ~
"When you reach the heart of life you shall find beauty in all things, even in the eyes that are blind to beauty."
~ Kahlil Gibran
"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the
sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed
only if there is a light from within."
~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross ~
Neither shall the wave, which has passed on, ever be recalled; nor can the hour, which has once fled by, return again...

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle.
The world you desire can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is YOURS." :)

stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering."

"What you react to in another, you strengthen in yourself."
Eckhart Tolle - A New Age (book)

Napoleon Hill on Think and Grow Rich

"You can never become a great man or woman until you have overcome anxiety, worry, and fear. It is impossible for an anxious person, a worried one, or a fearful one to perceive truth; all things are distorted and thrown out of their proper relations by such mental states, and those who are in them cannot read the thoughts of God."
