Anxiety: Hibernate, Adapt, or Migrate: Summer Beretsky at TEDxWilliamsport

Summer
Beretsky enjoys writing about her experiences with anxiety, panic, and
Paxil. She had her first panic attack as an undergrad at Lycoming
College and plenty more while she worked toward her M.A. in
Communication from the University of Delaware.She wears many hats.
Summer authors a mental health blog, Panic About Anxiety, and also
contributes pieces on anxiety, panic, and other delights to
Psychcentral.com's World of Psychology blog. She has also contributed to
the LA Times' Health section. Currently, she splits her non-blogging
time between Williamsport's major institutes of higher learning. Summer
teaches a marketing course at Pennsylvania College of Technology and
advises The Lycourier, the student newspaper of Lycoming College. She is
also an associate online faculty member at Ashford University.Summer
recently married her husband, Jason, who she met back in '88 when they
both attended the same pre-school. She owns a talking parrot, hates the
word "crisp", and wishes it were possible to drink the scent of coffee.
In her talk she describes her difficulty with anxiety and how she has
overcome it.
